St. Vincent’s was established nearly twenty years ago in response to a growing need for full-time school places for an increasing number of excluded pupils.

The organisation of the school is based on the mainstream model in that each of the four class groups go to the teacher for lessons, as against the pupils remaining in one classroom and the teacher going to the class.

The full curriculum is taught at a level to suit the pupil’s needs while curriculum enrichment is provided by various school projects which are carried out with other agencies or community groups. We work very closely with other agencies and community groups and throughout the school year we usually have at least one project running.
